Sewing is not something I do well or often so making an entire garment is pretty new to me. People think I can sew because I have a collection but nope -- I have a manufacturer for that. Slowly but surely I'm starting to learn though.
I love making stuff for myself because many of my design ideas hinge on the nuance of my own proportions. Unfortunately this means not all my undertakings are all that saleable. For instance, I am a huge fan of the extreme demi cup -- but that's only because I have the breasts of a pregnant mouse. It's not for everyone... It always surprises me that people don't usually go into design because they want a closet full of beautiful clothing all to themselves. I guess other designers are concerned with such things as having a lasting career and making a living n stuff. Confounding.
