Velvet Uzbek Griffin Dress
The Velvet Uzbek Griffin Dress is designed and sewn in NY and constructed from artisanal Uzbek textiles. The textile, also known as an Ikat, is hand loomed and vegetable dyed using heritage techniques from the region. The fibers are 90% silk, 10% cotton.
This dress is a body skimming column style. It is constructed from non stretch material. Symmetrical slits on both sides make it easy to move in.
Please note that this piece is intended for tailoring. The side paneling can be easily adjusted without disrupting the Griffin motif. We hide approximately 2 inches of extra fabric in the side seams, should you need to let the dress out.
Pieces from the Mia Vesper artisanal textile collection may have slight variations from piece to piece - the unique nature of the handwork is part of the beauty of each one.
Ami wears an XS.
